BEHIND THE SCENES
SCHOOL RESOURCES
The impact we are having on the planet is often hard to see. To understand it better, we have to look at the resources we are using in our homes - power, water and fuel - and trace them back to the source. In the end this is always the land on which we live and the sea that surrounds us.

Using a unique eco-calculator, that measures a household's resource use and translates that into an actual land size, we can get an idea of the impact our lives are having on the planet.

The producers worked with the New Zealand Centre for Ecological Economics (NZCEE) to develop our household footprint calculator.
